LOVE MATTERS.

Join the Movement.

Are you ready to stop the war within yourself?

Then please join the Movement: Love Matters.

I made that up just now. But I’m curious to see what would happen if we joined together in love, beyond the color of bodies. What would the world be like if we moved above the battleground completely?

What would happen to your life if your stopped the war within yourself? What would your days be like if you made a deliberate decision to rise up out of conflict, and actually did it?

We keep hearing that Black Lives Matters and that All Lives Matter, and yes that’s true – but if you look closely, you’ll notice there is a tremendous amount of controversy and conflict in it. It’s still an us vs. them mentality. It’s still a victim state of mind. It’s still focusing on division.

If you are ready to acknowledge the Love of God in all things at all times, please post a comment so we know you are here at this party, in this celebration called the Great Awakening.

It’s important to remember that any conflict that you think you see outside of you in the world is NOT outside of you. It’s in you. The conflict isn’t out there. It’s within.

I was away from news media for the past 3 weeks and missed the events surrounding Black Lives Matter – until yesterday when I read about it: The shooting of two innocent men (separate incidents) by cops and the resulting situation of a man opening fire with a sniper and killing 5 police officers in Dallas.

Because of the color of the skin of the people involved, it’s turned into a racial issue.

Many people on social media are saying: “We are divided.”

We are not divided, because nothing is divided.

Any focus on division is what division is.

What we’ve got here is a confusion problem, in the hearts and minds of people who have no clue who they are or what they are doing.

Jesus said on the cross 2000 years ago and he’s saying it now: “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

Jesus says in A Course in Miracles: “What is not love is murder. What is not loving must be an attack.”

What we’ve got is not so much a racial problem, but a hate problem.

What can you personally do?

Get above the battleground and love.

Stop the conflict within you.

If you want to see the conflict out there stop, then you must stop it within you. There is no other way.

Find out where you are still engaging in conflict in your own life, and stop it.

Find out where you are still divided with other people, and make a conscious decision to stop it.

Do you want to see the war “out there” stop? If yes, then stop the war within you.

Stop the struggle within you.

Stop dividing yourself from other people.

If there is hatred in your heart, cut it out.

It’s easy to look to the news and talk about how other people hate. It’s easy to talk about the insanity, the brutality, and about the unkind & unloving things that “other people” do.

But look in your mind today and see if there are any areas where you are being insane, brutal, unkind or unloving. Are there areas in your life where you kill?

You might not kill with a gun, but do kill anyone with your thoughts?

“What is not love is murder.” -A Course in Miracles

Is there hatred in your heart?

Is there a war in your mind? If  yes, then stop it.

428f3346ba07bce1370e5b5cb7e87bf1

There’s a lot of talk about stopping the wars in the world – which is nothing more than a distraction to keep you from seeing the war in your own mind – which you have the power to stop.

Is there cruelty in you? A wish to do harm on someone? A wish for revenge? A wish for punishment?

If you want to help and be part of the solution instead of being part of the problem, then end the war within yourself.

I love the section from A Course in Miracles “Above the Battleground”. It says to be lifted up and see all things from this place. Rise up out of the conflict. From here – from this new place – your perspective will be quite different and from this place you will see no bodies, from here there is only the Love of God.

Chapter 23 – IV. Above the Battleground
A Course in Miracles

Do not remain in conflict, for there is no war without attack. The fear of God is fear of life, and not of death. Yet He remains the only place of safety. In Him is no attack, and no illusion in any form stalks Heaven. Heaven is wholly true. No difference enters, and what is all the same cannot conflict. You are not asked to fight against your wish to murder. But you are asked to realize the form it takes conceals the same intent. And it is this you fear, and not the form. What is not love is murder. What is not loving must be an attack. Every illusion is an assault on truth, and every one does violence to the idea of love because it seems to be of equal truth.

What can be equal to the truth, yet different? Murder and love are incompatible. Yet if they both are true, then must they be the same, and indistinguishable from one another. So will they be to those who see God’s Son a body. For it is not the body that is like the Son’s Creator. And what is lifeless cannot be the Son of Life. How can a body be extended to hold the universe? Can it create, and be what it creates? And can it offer its creations all that it is and never suffer loss?

God does not share His function with a body. He gave the function to create unto His Son because it is His Own. It is not sinful to believe the function of the Son is murder, but it is insanity. What is the same can have no different function. Creation is the means for God’s extension, and what is His must be His Son’s as well. Either the Father and the Son are murderers, or neither is. Life makes not death, creating like itself.

The lovely light of your relationship is like the Love of God. It cannot yet assume the holy function God gave His Son, for your forgiveness of your brother is not complete as yet, and so it cannot be extended to all creation. Each form of murder and attack that still attracts you and that you do not recognize for what it is, limits the healing and the miracles you have the power to extend to all. Yet does the Holy Spirit understand how to increase your little gifts and make them mighty. Also He understands how your relationship is raised above the battleground, in it no more. This is your part; to realize that murder in any form is not your will. The overlooking of the battleground is now your purpose.

Be lifted up, and from a higher place look down upon it. From there will your perspective be quite different. Here in the midst of it, it does seem real. Here you have chosen to be part of it. Here murder is your choice. Yet from above, the choice is miracles instead of murder. And the perspective coming from this choice shows you the battle is not real, and easily escaped. Bodies may battle, but the clash of forms is meaningless. And it is over when you realize it never was begun. How can a battle be perceived as nothingness when you engage in it? How can the truth of miracles be recognized if murder is your choice?

When the temptation to attack rises to make your mind darkened and murderous, remember you can see the battle from above. Even in forms you do not recognize, the signs you know. There is a stab of pain, a twinge of guilt, and above all, a loss of peace. This you know well. When they occur leave not your place on high, but quickly choose a miracle instead of murder. And God Himself and all the lights of Heaven will gently lean to you, and hold you up. For you have chosen to remain where He would have you, and no illusion can attack the peace of God together with His Son.

See no one from the battleground, for there you look on him from nowhere. You have no reference point from where to look, where meaning can be given what you see. For only bodies could attack and murder, and if this is your purpose, then you must be one with them. Only a purpose unifies, and those who share a purpose have a mind as one. The body has no purpose of itself, and must be solitary. From below, it cannot be surmounted. From above, the limits it exerts on those in battle still are gone, and not perceived. The body stands between the Father and the Heaven He created for His Son because it has no purpose.

Think what is given those who share their Father’s purpose, and who know that it is theirs. They want for nothing. Sorrow of any kind is inconceivable. Only the light they love is in awareness, and only love shines upon them forever. It is their past, their present and their future; always the same, eternally complete and wholly shared. They know it is impossible their happiness could ever suffer change of any kind. Perhaps you think the battleground can offer something you can win. Can it be anything that offers you a perfect calmness, and a sense of love so deep and quiet that no touch of doubt can ever mar your certainty? And that will last forever?

Those with the strength of God in their awareness could never think of battle. What could they gain but loss of their perfection? For everything fought for on the battleground is of the body; something it seems to offer or to own. No one who knows that he has everything could seek for limitation, nor could he value the body’s offerings. The senselessness of conquest is quite apparent from the quiet sphere above the battleground. What can conflict with everything? And what is there that offers less, yet could be wanted more? Who with the Love of God upholding him could find the choice of miracles or murder hard to make?

  1. I am spending more and more of my days above rather than in. And it is more and more obvious when I have slipped into old fearful thinking and I am quick to ask for help. Yes, I choose Love and I join with all in holding this choice in my heart and mind.

  2. I choose Love. I am not a body I am free. For I am just as God created me. Thanks for the reminder to live from the heart.

  3. The battle ground is paved with words. The big quest is whether I will go beyond reading an repeating “nice words” unto that experience that no one can describe.A “nice words” hint is “the ego is full proof but not God proof”. That is as far as I can go right now. I really need help in this “mission impossible”. Thank you.

  4. Beautiful and wise, Lisa! Thank you for being willing to be sane and joining at the same time.

For me, the challenge is not so much to see where I am hateful or in conflict in any other place than right here and now. If I am upset by what I read or see in the news (and I was), what is the source of that? I am not loving what is. I am judging others — the people who were involved on either side or sides. Love is always the answer (love does matter and it’s all that matters); the illusion of separation is always the problem.

  5. Thank you Lisa for this beautiful and loving post. YES love is ALL that matters because that is the truth of who we are. I’m all in! Letting go of all thoughts in my mind that aren’t pure love. Thank you again Lisa for all the love you spread all over the world. I love you❤️ Love matters!

  6. I give my willingness to join with you Lisa, and every other person I see as separate from myself. We love one another as God loves us; this state of Love has never changed. We’ve only forgotten it. It now time to remember and choose once again. Let us choose peace. I love you.

  7. It’s always so beautiful that each time I am either practicing a workbook lesson or I hear a message like ‘Love Matters’ it feels like direct revelation and a nudge or a prompt from the Holy Spirit to just take another look at my thoughts throughout the day and see where “murder” (usually in these chief forms: attack, guilt, shame, criticism, judgment, complaining) has occurred. Once I look, then I can dig, then I can unearth, then the light floods in, then I begin to rise. Moreover, when I am honest (consistent) with myself, I can usually see “littered bodies” strewn across the stage of my mind, as if in a scene from some Shakespearean tragedy! And that’s just through the course of a single day at work!!! The casualties can seem so minor (usually the “victims” are just limping or have a bruise) yet in metaphysical terms, there are no levels: Jesus tells us “murder in ANY form is not your will.” It’s all the same: dissing someone is the same as gossiping is the same as being annoyed with someone is the same as hating someone is the same as wanting to get revenge on someone is the same as wanting certain people not to like another along with you not liking them is the same, the same, the same as…
This is a sterling revelation!!When I catch myself having those thoughts I just have to stop myself in my tracks. Lisa’s very practical reminder: “just Stop it!” seems too simple or obvious, yet until someone says it – which Jesus does throughout ACIM – I just keep falling into the same old traps. Thank you beloved Lisa for reminding me today that I CAN just stop!! I can and I will and I am!!…..Re-minding and Re-membering is at the crux of all this mind-training. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord.

  8. I am not here to change the world, for there is no world. All I have to do is remove the blocks to the awareness of Love presence because all there really is, is Love which is you, me, he, she, it… God is Love and that is what we are; God is and nothing else is.

  9. I am heartened when I look past the violence and see what’s brewing underneath, what is taking shape even as the flames burn: there is a new heart opening amongst us. I hear it in the words of the Dallas mayor, and of the president (“we are not as divided as we seem”) and in the gorgeous picture of the woman offering her wrists out to be shackled by police. I hear it in the pleas of children who have lost their parents to gun violence but who see the best response is only peace and more love. It IS a Great Awakening, but one must look past the smoke and hate to see love rising up, as it is meant to do. It’s only in the destruction of the old world that a new one can be born. So we must not despair, but continue to radiate love and light, and focus on the miraculous emergence taking shape right before our eyes.

  10. I appreciate being able to join in this movement! Whenever we say something matters, we imply something else does not! I don’t think that’s what anyone means with these movements, they are all trying to correct a perceived error. But…rising above as the Course guides us, it’s crystal clear that universal love is the only force that corrects, that we are all One in God, and that division does not exist.
Thank you Lisa for your thoughts! I love the bumper sticker idea! Meantime it’s pasted onto the inside of my forehead.

  11. I love this and it makes sense. I am new to reading A Course in Miracles and I love the ideas and thoughts behind it so far. This sounds like a beautiful movement! Love Matters!

  12. Thank you for sharing and teaching, Lisa! I love how you say, “The world is a very dark place. It needs YOUR light”. My goal is to be that throughout the day. <3 <3 <3

  13. This is a great post Lisa. Only Love matters because only Love is Real. If a person is tormented by hateful thoughts, it is a good idea to ask Jesus to enter them alongside themselves. He will unfailingly confirm their illusionary nature. God bless.

  14. Thank You Lisa for “Listening” and sharing Your Love with us.
Yes, Love heals all perceptions and lack and restores the Original perception of Wholeness within us….free of sin & guilt.
    Now let’s let THAT shine!!!
    I’m in ☺!!!

  15. I thank you Lisa for this powerful lesson. I hope you continue to take heavy news events like these and help all of us look at it differently. When you do this, it helps us use the Courses teachings in the here and now. Sure could use another lesson on all the politics that are causing division too!!

  16. So glad you shared this Lisa. It is so needed. Was talking about this with a friend last night, and she said her Dad always told her that needed to get her head out of the clouds. That is where mine has been for most of my life, and what was missing is that I didn’t own it. The focus of ACIM and your work has allowed me to do that. My gratitude to you and the Teachers of God will continue always. Love you Lisa and thank you with all my heart.

  17. I needed to read this today. I have been searching the past few weeks for the light in this terrible darkness. I have felt such heartbreak at the insanity of it all. I have never identified well with one particular “tribe,” whether it be racial, ethnic, organizational, religious, or any other divider. My life is filled with loved ones from the world over, enriching and guiding my life in the many beautiful ways of being in the world.

Love Matters. That is exactly what I was looking for. It scoops up the pain, divisive rhetoric, and egos horrific attempt to keep us, the Children of God, separated, and mends the world in a moment. Love Matters. It speaks the truth. It embraces all who fear and hurt. It pulls us up to a higher vision, where we can heal this world.

I have been deeply saddened and my focus blurred. In reading your words this morning, I felt that veil of pain, strife, and illusion lift. I sat and cried for a while as my heart grew deeper in understanding this absolute truth. I was moved to write this note of deep thanks and appreciation to you, Lisa. Love matters. It is all that matters.

Thank you so much. Much love to you.

  18. Perfect. Not only love but Peace and Love Matters. We as teachers and students can be truly helpful to expose the masses to this message. Would be nice to get the message on national T.V. as an official movement. Then we’re doing God’s work. I was thinking about that and asking……..Ask and it shall be
    given. Kudos Lisa.

  19. I am in. Wholeheartedly.

Thank you so much. I am so blessed to have found Teachers of God. ACIM speaks to the core of my Mind. I am definitely IN.

LOVE MATTERS and through ACIM I am realizing and remembering that I AM the LOVE I wish to see in the world. Namaste.

  20. I needed to read this today. I have been searching the past few weeks for the light in this terrible darkness. I have felt such heartbreak at the insanity of it all. 21. Yes! I’m ready to be the change I wish to see in the world.
    Thank you Lisa for
your dedication and focus on who you really are. You have strengthen my focus too and I try to watch my thoughts carefully.
    There is only Love.
    Love is all there is.

  22. o yes love matters!!! And it is all that matters! So I am right here with you giving up my warcrimes, seeing where I was/am part of the battle instead of rising above it all and look with Angel’s eyes upon this Illusion of the fight. Thank you for sweet and distinct reminder dearest Lisa! And by the way, murdered I have many most of all my own True Self, I am so happy there is no way of murdering this real Me! Love is all that remains!

  23. Spot on! There’s no need to try to fix the so-called division by making more divisive groups , because we are already one.

  24. Love this! Love you! Love matters! I’m all in. Allow me (us) to extend love. Thank you for the thoughts you shared to shed light on this situation.

  25. I am new to this organization and find this both compelling and leaves me with a question for clarification. It seems to me that working on our own war within our hearts and lives is central to the work of love. Peace is in us knowing the war within and stopping it. And part of love is truly coming to understand others and the world around us. We have to come to know it.

So as we focus on love matters, this does not mean that we ignore the very real and lived experience of racism within our society, right? Well-meaning white groups have a long history of drawing toward ideas like, “why can’t we all just get along” without coming to understand how racism is at play in our lives. I have been married to an African man for 25 years. Experiencing life with him has opened my eyes to racism. I find that it takes hard work and concerted effort to even see racism and white privilege at work, as a white woman. Learning to express love and care takes focused and continuous effort. People of color don’t get to just let go because racism is in the fabric of our culture. People of color carry the load of white people’s unawareness. The videos have only brought to light what has existed for a very long time. The murder of these black men is horrific, and also not a big surprise to people who see racism at work in our everyday lives.

Love is everything! And love means we act in allyship for peace and justice in this world. It is more than letting go because when we don’t know the difference between our own hands and what we are holding on to (we don’t see how we participate in a racialized society), we don’t know what to let go of.

So I’m wondering, does this community of Love Matters commit ourselves to understanding how racism is at play while also working on our hearts? Is that what is proposed here?

    • Thank you Anita for the brave perspective you put forth. Yes, it is true that Love matters but it is crucial to understand that Black Lives matter too. Until people can truly have the courage to confront and undo the deep settled practices of racism individually and collectively, history will keep repeating itself in our country.

  26. I’m in! With all my heart, with all my might <3 I consciously STOP analysing the motives anyone has to act the way they do.
I, consciously accept to see only LOVE or a call for love.

    Thank you Lisa.

  27. This was just what I needed to see today. I am in the process of creating a project for a Self Expression and Leadership course with Landmark Education. I knew I wanted to do something to stop the hate, killing, and fear. I believe forgiveness is how we get to the love. I may steal the “LOVE MATTERS!” message. I am going to churches and other houses of worship to organize a campaign. I am definitely on board.

  28. Thank you for love matters I want to be LIT WITH LOVE that would be
    Light

    Innocence
    and

    Truth
    THANK YOU LISA!!!
    Love ,
    Liz

  29. Thank you Lisa. I think seeing Love is truly the only way to walk in our world right now. And I feel it is so important that we do so with every ounce of energy we have. Love can change the world, and we are its hands. Let’s do it!

  30. Im all in. Thank you Lisa. Thank you for repeating the same lesson over and over, I need your patience, it moves a little in me every time towards the Light.
Just yesterday I read lesson 196, “It can be but myself I crucify”.
I choose the Light, I’m all in. Thank you.

  31. LOVE is the only thing that matters. I decide to see the world with Christ’s eyes.
LOVE IS ALL THAT I SEE!
Thank you Lisa, thank you all❤

  32. Love is the answer, ALWAYS ❤️ Im in! Lets bring it on❤️☀️☀️☀️❤️❤️❤️

Love. Gabriel

  34. It never fails. Every time I open an email from the Teachers of God foundation it hits me smack in the middle of my eyes! Thank you Lisa!!! I am in! Love is always the answer! Love to you and all your amazing staff. ♡♡♡♡

  35. I stand in my” center” where I know I am One with Spirit, I know there is only love and that there is nothing and no one against me.

  36. Just think what would happen if each one of us pick a moment in our day, a period of one minute that we are willing to set aside specifically for the purpose of loving God’s Creation –ALL OF IT, without exception. Let Love take us everywhere It lives. Feel ourselves join and become a part of all this Love touches. If we do it every day we can remember the minute we give to loving will be multiplied many times for every place love is felt it will be given out again. That is the nature of loving, that is what ACIM tells us. Lets come together now and invest a minute in loving. Our dividends will change the world. I am willing.

  37. I too came to the realization a few days ago that Love Matters. I guess we are in perfect sync. I have also been seeing so many ways in my life that I kill through my thoughts. How I judge others. I am grateful that these thoughts are coming into my awareness because it is as I see them, I can love even those thoughts and transform them. Only when I really know that there is no separation between me and anything or anyone else, will I be at Love and at Peace. Blessings.

  38. Absolutely LOVE is ALL that matters. LOVE heals and all that heals. I am all in. And as Patty already quoted “Love heals ALL perceptions and lack and restores the original perception of wholeness within us….free of sin and guilt”
    Much Love, Elsa

  39. Love matters – how truly beautiful.
Thank you so much for this movement, I’m ready to lift my self totally out of conflict. I’m all in!

  40. I want to join the group LOVE MATTERS. Hope WE Will be a very very Big group ALL around Thisted wonderful World /creation

  41. Sending gratitude for the light! If I am not part of the solution, I am part of the problem. By the Grace of God, I pray to be part of the solution.

  42. nice to re-read Chapter 23 it has been awhile. Surprised that you watch and/or listen to the news Lisa. These kinds of events sooner or later reach my ears even though I don’t watch any TV or read any newspapers.

    Fondly,
    Jim

    Höllviken, Sweden

  43. Love matters and is the only answer, no matter question. I choose love daily , rechoose again when I find that I’ve put up the weapon again, constantly handing over to HS. Knowing it’s all in my mind. I have a job to do. To clear out old patterns and beliefs , as the days grow in love more and more I know I’m on the right path with Jesus. Can’t be on the wrong one. ☀️ Looking beyond, to the unchangeable , the vast space behind and join into this. Every day. Joy shines through more and more in the willingness to bare witness of surrender and resurrection.

Love matters. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you and love you.

  44. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. The shooting in Munich just happened, and the RNC convention was very depressing to me. I have to remember my own part, and to choose miracles over murder.

  45. I’m all in, Lisa, and everyone. I believe we need to speak our truth out loud sometimes, when witnessing or overhearing hate talk. About 25 years or more ago, I was in a luncheonette in my neighborhood, sitting at the counter. It was a family run place, and I really loved these people. The Mom was serving the person next to me, and speaking with him, and she made a racist comment about “them”, looking at me for agreement. I calmly and lovingly replied, “sorry, I choose not to engage it that.” I realized in that moment that my silence would be a fear-based and cowardly act. Not that one should ALWAYS “say something”.
By continuing to treat the Mom behind the counter lovingly, I am choosing to see only God in her…ignoring the illusion. I struggle constantly, but always return to love…it’s all there is! Thank you Lisa, for you wonderful insight, joyful work, and consistency. What an inspiration! I love you!

  46. Right here is the perfect web site for anybody who really wants
to understand this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with
you (not that I actually will need to…HaHa). You certainly put
a new spin on a topic that has been written about for years.
    Great stuff, just excellent!

  47. You made some good points there. I looked on the web to learn more about the issue
and found most people will go along with your views on this website.

  48. Thanks on your marvelous posting! I quite enjoyed reading it, you’re
a great author.I will ensure that I bookmark your blog and will come back very
soon. I want to encourage you to ultimately continue your great job, have a
    nice weekend!
